On August 4, 2023, Ted Hsu, President of Fortune Electric, as the Chairman of the Taiwan Wind Power Industry Association, officially opened the 11th Annual General Meeting of the Taiwan Wind Power Industry Association. Ted Hsu is the first chairman in the association’s ten-year history to come from a private enterprise background, with previous chairpersons all being top executives with government or state-owned enterprise affiliations.
Under the leadership of President Ted Hsu, this year's Annual General Meeting was presented with an innovative approach. The event also invited notable guests, including Shen Rong-Jin, Senior Advisor to the Presidential Office, Vice Premier Cheng Wen-Tsan, Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-Hua, and Deputy Director-General of the Industrial Development Bureau Yang Chih-Ching, who were present to offer their encouragement and boost the morale of the members of the Taiwan Wind Power Industry Association.
A special session, "Peak Forum – A Deep Dive into How Taiwanese Local Suppliers Can Enter the Offshore Wind Power Supply Chain," was arranged for the event. President Ted Hsu served as the forum moderator, leading the discussion in an engaging and interactive manner. Industry leaders from large enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, and developers shared their hands-on experiences from different perspectives. The forum provided attendees with valuable insights on how to seize opportunities for Taiwanese local suppliers to enter the offshore wind power supply chain, turning the national wind power vision into reality.
This year's Annual General Meeting gathered over the majority of Taiwan's local industry elites related to wind power. President Ted Hsu has fulfilled his promise made upon assuming the role of chairman to "concretely implement" his vision. By expanding the scale of the meeting, he has created an opportunity for the association's members to engage in lively exchanges. This will undoubtedly contribute to reaching new heights in the offshore wind power industry!
